Software Product to Track Customer Returns
TracReturns is a RMA (return material authorization/return merchandise authorization) software product that tracks all phases of the product return process for manufacturers and distributors. TracReturns is also targeted to technical support, engineering, and customer support departments to track failing products in the field. The vendor states that it is a specific-use software product that does not require additional software components, such as accounting software modules.
A key new feature of the product as noted by the vendor is the ability to track and report failure codes on each return. Failure code reports are available so that manufacturers and distributors can track component failures across multiple products or by product.
TracReturns tracks the product return/RMA process from the customer's initial phone call, through receiving and repairing the product, to the final return of the product back to the customer. In addition to tracking failure codes, notes and documents (such as Word documents, Excel spreadsheets, PDFs, and photos) can be attached to each return. Plus: Statuses, failure codes, custom fields, and priorities can be assigned to each return.
